campaign works and wargames works.

i then tried to do the offline spartan ops mod, i've unlocked the dlc but on the menu it won't load a map, says content missing.

any ideas?

 

edit, i put the info / images in the maps folder, but am i supposed to extract all the maps and other content to the game folder? i tried that and the spops map load but i can't spawn it just sits on respawn 0 with d-pad icon up / down

so i guess only some of the maps work? was this ever fixed? if not i'll just continue to play them on the mcc.

These xexs are for each of the 3 builds. Keynote goes into the build with only the campaign level, wargames goes into the build with wargames, and SPOPs goes into the build with SPOPs.

These xexs unlock the actual menus; the builds would usually boot to a locked screen with no way out. I also changed where the SPOPS "select chapter" button takes you; it now takes you to the offline SPOPs menu that allows you to play 2 early SPOPs missions, E2:M2 and M4:M5, as well as the regular mission, CHAPTER 5 CORE. To skip the annoying intro video that plays after clicking spartan ops, press the guide button.

However, when I try to extract anything from the title update maps, I get a null reference exception in Assembly (latest dev branch with the Halo 4 prediction resource fixes). I assume the issue might be related to it requiring a shared.map and mainmenu.map to fully extract tags, however I can't use the ones from the base maps. So am I missing something to be able to extract the TU maps? Or is there another way to extract those tags?

]]>5426Fri, 21 Jun 2019 02:03:53 +0000Halo 4 Warthog Runhttps://www.xboxchaos.com/topic/5406-halo-4-warthog-run/ The Warthog Run is a staple of the classic Halo series, even Halo 2 was originally meant to have a warthog run but most of it was cut from the final game but recently restored by BlackDimund. Technically Halo 3 ODST's Coastal Highway included a slight warthog run too. But yeah unfortunately with Halo 4, there was never anything close to a warthog run. Only thing was a ghost run at the end of the mission Forerunner. So just for fun and to see how it'd turn out, I replaced that ghost run with a warthog run instead. It actually turned out pretty well but is probably the most difficult warthog run ever even with some adjustments we made to the warthog.

Changes we made:

  • Injected Warthog to mission Forerunner (m30_cryptum) includes all sounds too
  • Removed chaingun turret from Warthog to fix memory issues causing the mission to freeze
  • Replaced Infinite Boost Ghost in vehicle palette with the Warthog
  • Fixed driver seat animation
  • Increased Warthog engine maximum angular velocity to make warthog accelerate faster
  • Made Warthog more stable
    • Disabled suspension to reduce bounciness
    • Increased ground friction for better traction on ground
  • Removed string for ghost boosting tutorial during the run

Issues:

  • Co-op is supported but players that die during the run will end up respawning in a ghost
  • Passenger seat of warthog doesn't have right animation and will cause passengers to stand up in seat and be unable to manually get out
    • Can be fixed by setting the passenger seat animation to ghost_d but it doesn't look right so I left it as it is
  • Restarting mission, especially during the ending cutscene, will cause the warthog on the next playthrough to have numerous graphical issues including HUD elements to the point of being a giant blob sometimes

Why and how is it fair that he reserves those kind of mods to himself rather than posting a video tutorials on it? How can you play as a grunt, hunter, elite? How do you inject pelicans? Can you please give a tutorial on this? I've tried in assembly and it doesn't work... I just only know how to do the basic stuff like edit the players speed, jump, invincibility, and weapons. I want specific tutorials for halo 3 and 4, so please someone give out a tutorial (preferably step-by-step video). Please do not refer me to LordZebb's text tutorial on here, I've already viewed it and it doesn't tell us how to mod like he does. Thanks!

On the level Infinity I've tried editing the spawning of the two Marines from the second rally point. I can change them into a knight and a spartan but when I attempt to make them a grunt or an elite nothing spawns. The same occurs on the level Reclaimer when changing the starting spartans into elites. Does anyone know a work around for this? Or does it just not work?

 

Using Assembly btw and editing the spawns in squads (scnr) and tried changing the character palette.

I nulled out a couple of things because it gave an error and froze my xbox. I can't get the warthogs or the mongooses to spawn either.

EDIT: I want to point out that I didn't fix all the strings. Just some.

UPDATE - 9/9/2015: Finished adding the missing strings to Adrift. Enjoy :)

But I've never tried to install the Disc 2 multiplayer maps until now. I'm able to install it off Disc 2 but that of course puts it in the content folder on my USB drive in a different format consisting of 2 files. I've done quite a bit of digging around here to see if I can find out how to just simply put the .map files in the maps folder of Halo 4 but there doesn't seem to be any tutorial for that. Simply copying the .map files to that folder doesn't work and the game won't recognize those maps as there. So how do I get the .map files from Disc 2 or any Halo 4 DLC for that matter, onto my USB hard drive and load those maps that way?
