I got assembly and opened H2 vista pc and also opened assembly. I messed with the game's physics such that if I stick a warthog at back, it could fly directly to other side of bridge when you are playing metropolis, but nothing happens.

If somebody could tell that what should I do with physics and vehicles please help

What is wrong with my script?https://www.xboxchaos.com/topic/5587-what-is-wrong-with-my-script/ So halo 2 has at least one to 20+ broken squads or spawns in each level   but most require scripts to actually spawn. This particular case isnt really a "broken" spawn but rather this flood carrier in e1_fld_inf5 is never ever used. Never gets selected from the randomized spawn point pool that most floods spawns use in h2/h3 either.  Currently using ScriptToolsBeta and trying to get this third flood carrier to spawn in 07b_forerunnership. 

I dont understand what im doing wrong. Even when the scripts compile  the game never loads and sits at a white screen. Do i need to resign the map? Am I adding too many chunks to it so I changed the size of the map and it requires hex editing now? 

I was able to successfully restore e12_cov_inf1 squad which is completely missing but I didnt need to do any hex editing.

Help: Injecting a crosshair replacement in Halo 2 Vista?https://www.xboxchaos.com/topic/5352-help-injecting-a-crosshair-replacement-in-halo-2-vista/ I'm trying to inject a custom remade version of the Sniper crosshair based on the OG Xbox sniper crosshair into Halo 2 Vista's singleplayer. You see, the original Halo 2 had a diamond shaped crosshair, unlike Halo 2 Vista, which made it a circle.

As such, I've injected a new dds into bitmap chunk 22 (The Sniper's crosshair in hud_reticle) using Gravemind. However, upon completing the process, the bitmap seems to show up in bitmap chunk 0 (the SMG), with some offset and size changes for it, instead of chunk 22, which I clearly selected in blue. It seems Gravemind can't inject it into any other chunk other than chunk 0.

Would anyone know a fix for this?

Player changes:
- Play as a Brute Captain
- Increased player grenade toss velocity

Encounters:
Attempted to incorporate as many of the unused spawns as possible in this mod, there is quite a few on 
the final level.
- Extra friendly spawns at the beginning of the mission

ALL encounters in the level have been changed, not all are just simple Brute to Elite conversions.
- Inclusion of multiple Hunter encounters

Help moving/injecting tags from one map into another(campaign) -xboxhttps://www.xboxchaos.com/topic/5413-help-movinginjecting-tags-from-one-map-into-anothercampaign-xbox/ I have Insolence. I can move tags. I can move single player weapons into multiplayer maps(like adding fuel rod gun/major sentinel beam) and Entity reads them just fine. But when i attempt to move some tags..say Magnum or SMG into 0b_deltacontrol 
, Entity starts spewing out errors.

I know one can inject tags(for example the Warthog run video on the front page contains the warthog that was manually injected) but I have no idea what I am doing.  I understand that when i moved a tag from one map into another i increased the map's size and I guess I need to change its Meta Size? but for MP maps I pasted like 4 different tags and I didnt need to change anything they loaded just fine. Im at a loss what to do

edit: after doing some research and like 30x map crashes i found out that Insolence shouldn't be used in tag moving. That I need to use Entity only. But following this tutorial http://old.halomods.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=88&t=58508 my maps still crash and freeze. I just want to be able to port the flood juggernaut/weapons that arent in some maps into others. On a side note...in the linked thread the comment on the bottom...the real @blackdimund?

Why is quarantine zone such a buggy mess-on both versions the PCport/OG xboxhttps://www.xboxchaos.com/topic/5410-why-is-quarantine-zone-such-a-buggy-mess-on-both-versions-the-pcportog-xbox/ I swear roughly 10% of the squads available on that map do not spawn or deload on occasions(not the only map but aside from seriously trying to glitch and circumvent load zones,  h2 has got to be the only bungie halo game where npcs deload on a regular basis) for some reason.

And im not sure whats causing the scripts/triggers to break. Sometimes if i speed rush through they do not spawn/will spawn. If i take my time to take out every enemy..same story. Uhhh

my question is...how can i make  the squads more responsive/ actually spawn?Just to get that OG experience that the devs actually scripted and i guess wanted you to play after all

 

Ill upload a couple of the biggest examples(something i could notice with a naked eye like vehicles/rocket flood not spawning at all with screenshots   but i bet there is a bunch of "filler" flood with random weps like smg's etc that nevre get noticed).

Halo 2 warthog run restoredhttps://www.xboxchaos.com/topic/5333-halo-2-warthog-run-restored/ So I was informed about the warthog run bsp that was never used and after looking at it, I wanted to restore it. It took a while, but it's finally finished. You guys must know how much I love my warthog runs, and halo 2 was my favorite halo, I just couldn't resist.

This restoration includes:

-manually injected sounds
-manually injected warthog (95%)
-fixed masterchief warthog animations
-lots of scripts
-added ai and trigger volumes
-mostly fixed lightmaps
-mostly smooth bsp transition
-modified cutscenes
-modified scenery animations
-more scripts
-custom pelican crash animation
-fixed massive horizontal gravity lift
-injected modified mjolnir mix theme with guitar in loop
-added some audio to flood juggernaut
-fixed flood juggernaut death animation
-and other cool stuff

the only things that were originally from the map was the bsp, and two of the cortana lines, and pathfinding for the bsp, the rest was added by me, all ai spawns, pelican crash, spinning cap, etc

 I would like to thank some people for help on various parts, Akarias, Gamecheat13, Lord Zedd, and some devs from the project cartographer dev team.

currently waiting on someone for something. also found the generator distortion effect scenery wasnt spawning, fixed that. found nulled out scenery placements for this bsp which im confident is for the high_shipping_crate scenery, makes paths not so entirely straight. might add some buggers to lift or make lift a bit faster, and maybe add some crates.

H2 High Charity Magnum + BR weapon tags?https://www.xboxchaos.com/topic/5376-h2-high-charity-magnum-br-weapon-tags/ So I used assembly to change just about every weapon tag however High charity seems to evade me. [Xbox] Halo 2: Mimesis Reborn Mappackhttps://www.xboxchaos.com/topic/5353-xbox-halo-2-mimesis-reborn-mappack/ This mappack was created by me and @ISOCheated. I hope you all enjoy, however expect bugs and what not. This mappack is nowhere near perfect.

It does contain some maps from other mappacks, however this project was just something for me and @ISOCheated to do in our free time.

 

[The mappack was originally a blast from the past re-creating the mimesis mappack that was released in mappack/patch/and dlc form. However I can not guarantee every map from the original mimesis is in this pack]

 

Keep in mind we are pretty new to halo 2 modding to this extent. I even created my own map in this pack and fixed up a few maps which had blackholes.

Also keep in mind that I apologize for the mainmenu music, injecting new music kept breaking the mainmneu (I created the mainmenu from scratch at least 6-7times). We do not plan on doing any bug fixes, mostly because some maps are "Protected" meaning they won't open in any editor or will error out upon opening them. So please keep a open mind when playing this mappack. This was our first time really modding halo 2, besides you know basic stuff back in the day.

Halo 2 Vista Playable Cutsceneshttps://www.xboxchaos.com/topic/5343-halo-2-vista-playable-cutscenes/ Can play and walk around during every cutscene in the game. includes three short hidden scenes in "The Arbiter". Also added the part where Johnson and his marines about to get beheaded by brutes and Johnson climbs into the scarab. Also know that, since Halo 2 runs like s**t, the game will probably freeze at some point for no reason. Also, killing a character that needs to run another animation later, may freeze the game, so kill characters at your own risk. Not my fault, just shows how crap Halo 2 engine is. Also if you are moving around a lot when the game teleports  you in zero gravity, you will drift away from the intended course.

To play, download the sppf patches and apply them with the sppf patcher. I would use the assembly patcher, but its trash and every map has its meta expanded a few mb which makes assembly patches around 100mb, so we are going back to 2006 halo 2 patch programs. I will include the sppf program.

 I would like to thank some people for help on various parts, Akarias, Gamecheat13, Lord Zedd, and some devs from the project cartographer dev team.

Sacred Icon UNSC Modhttps://www.xboxchaos.com/topic/5341-sacred-icon-unsc-mod/ Been working on a UNSC mod conversion for Sacred Icon (Quarantine Zone will follow). The mod should be released soon, just playing around with couple more enemy encounters.
Here's a list of changes:

player is a Marine,

enemy and ally encounter changes,

marine health recharge faction increased from 25% to 80%,

removed first person hands, but kept weapons,

increased marine player jump height and grenade toss velocity.

Help - Make Gravity Throne Driver Kill-able (with bullets)https://www.xboxchaos.com/topic/5313-help-make-gravity-throne-driver-kill-able-with-bullets/ I've been messing around with the gravity throne . vehi tags, trying to find a way to make it so the driver can take damage from bullets - bullets just phase through the driver.

I have no idea where or what I should be looking for, but I think it may be possible as seen in this clip (however this is in H2X and not H2V)

Melee help for Halo 2 Vista?https://www.xboxchaos.com/topic/5307-melee-help-for-halo-2-vista/ I have been modding campaign levels in Halo 2 Vista through Assembly and have been changing my bipeds. However, whenever switch to an Elite biped, the melee works but the animation itself does not. I already tried the method used in https://halo2.online/threads/halo-2-vista-melee-help-needed.1070  , and when I tried it on a level, the game would either crash or say Insert Halo 2 Disc.

Any ideas? Help would be much appreciated
