In case anyone dismissed this post as a simple re-up, theres actually lots of new stuff in there, including (my favorite) TagData poking!

lol thanks zedd. downloaded it, looked at the build number, noticed that it still is 0,39 and removed it from my comp :D.

@dead and amd: could you add a function to ascension, that sorts tag- and stringidlist entries by their identifier? the stringidlists would start with "0 - default" and end with "999999 - random string"

I think you have misunderstood me but thanks for the quick response.

for example: if i have 7000gold in a game and poke this value the gold will reset to a 0.

or is there another save button that can hold the value?

First of all thanks everybody for their work here. I just discovered this software this week. Before I was cheating using a finished version of XeSearch I made from the source code published by team XeLove. Please understand that English is not my mother tongue.

I use Ascension 0.039 posted by DeadCanadian 16 March 2012.

I think this reset to 0 thing is what happened to me yesterday. There seems to be a bug with Ascension.

I found the money address for Final Fantasy XIII-2 using SimpleDumper360 and Artmoney. I went to the Advanced Poker on Ascension entered the address and changed the type to "Long" and pressed the "Get Value" button.

The value returned was not what I expected so I unchecked the check mark (it seems to be endianness, if that word exists). With the check mark unchecked I pressed the "Get Value" again, and this time it was the actual money.

So I write on the value box 15000000 and press "Poke Changes", then "Get Value" and the value returned this time was 0. The money in game also went to 0. I said WTF, i'm poor now ;-P

Investigating a little bit I noticed that the "Poke Changes" button had not modified the memory address I wanted, but the NEXT one. So if the money was in 0x81231234, pressing the "Poke Changes" would affect 0x81231238 (the next 4 bytes, the size of a long)

In short:

- When variable type is "Long" and the check mark is unchecked "Get Value" works correctly but "Poke Changes" writes to a wrong memory address.

Hope it helps.

P.D.: From this bug description if you want to write to address 0x81231234, just substract 4 and "Poke Changes" to that address.

its not endianness, it always reads in big endian cause thats what the library i use to getmem and setmem uses for halo. what it actually does it either return the value in hex or as a normal value.

ill look into this, cause theres no way its poking to the wrong one, unless the engine pokes shorts and longs differently.

the program isnt perfect, it was really just me coding something i could use to store variables easily, which is why its at least to say, a little confusing with everything on it(go full screen in that it shows more). i do plan to make a help screen for it displaying all the little things it does that people may not know sometime.

We have much bigger plans for network poking than what's out there right now. Just be sure to hold on to your xbox chaos account.
