1. Pre nxe

A term for the old dashboard (the one that had the 5 blades on it.

2. Xenon

That is a term for the first motherboard of the Xbox 360 or it can also be a term for an xbox executable files (XEX)

3. Nand

This is the flash chip on board your xbox 360 console. It holds the dashboard software and other important setting, Reflashing the NAND is part of JTAGGING a console.

4. Xecuter

They are a company who makes xbox modchips for flashing disc drives and they also make USB nand flasher chips.

And also if I were to buy a jtaged xbox is this the general thing I would want to look into?

Yes, you are correct. However, I would stay away from ioffer/ ebay. xbox-scene.com and se7ensins.com have much better buy/sell/trades specifically for xbox and other game consoles.
