How To Dual Wield Weapons

24 posts in this topic

due to a lot of comments on my youtube video i have decided to make a tutorial for this, and yes it is very simple.

first of what your going to do is go into the biped that you are playing as, scroll down to the flags and scroll down them until you see a bitmask with alot of unnamed options. scroll in it till you see able to dual wield, check this and poke/save.

now for the final thing you need to do which is the exact same as halo 3, go to the weapon that you wish to dual wield and go to its flag and check the one that enables the weapon to be dual wielded. simple poke/save and your done. enjoy

only few bugs i have had while doing this is i somehow managed to make it so i held the four weapons separately as well as my right arm fell off and ended up holding a weapon only in my left hand.

what programs do i need and can i do it online with a usb

You need a Jtagged Xbox (or a Devkit) along with Ascension and the modded XEX's to be able to do this. Also, 99% of JTAG's can't go online.

What bit is the "Can be duel wielded?"

It's named are you using assembly?

go the the weapon you want and search for "weapon" under it should be flags, look in these flags and it is there.

I'm using Assembly, but most of the bits are named bit 23 or bit 22.  I'm not a newbie at .map modding.

You don't need xbox neighborhood to do anything it's just easier to transfer the map over for injection. You can poke changes without it.

I asked because I couldn't make AI spawnable in maps because Neighborhood is required for that according to the tutorial you linked me to (or that's what I thought until now).

You can just use FTP, that's basically what Neighborhood is but with a few exclusive features like screen capping and remote reboots etc.

Is it possible to replace the third person animation to make the Spartan or Elite have the sword pose?

If it is, how?

It would be cool if you dual wield swords and lower the guns.

only way would be animation inheriting. if you need help with it create a new topic

Ok.

At least I got this dual wielding working for Halo 3 (Assault Rifles, Needlers, etc.) as it is the same method.
