Video Community Machinima " Brain Storm Ideas "

Hey guys,

So I know no one has posted anything nor have we held anything for machinima ideas yet but since i know I will be back on Xbox Live this Christmas I got to thinking that the first machinima we do should be a group effort.

So with that being said I want everyone to post ideas (please don't post anything stupid or childish).

I want the machinima to be at lease 20 minutes long if its a one video thing or want it to be like a 3 maybe 5 part series.

So with that being said lets roll out the ideas and once we pick what we want we can get right into writing the script. The script will be written by one of us. One person will write it but we all have a say in how it is written and put. The script writter will be who ever wants to volunteer and if no one wants to then I will volunteer if no one else wants to.

Remember this is a group effort for a machinima so everyone will have a say and if any one don't like an idea or two then we will have a vote to see who wants it and who doesn't. Sound fair enough?

EDIT: We already have the idea for the Machinima, now we need member's willing to donate their time to be cast in it and will show up when we need them.

its about Russia attacking the U.S. and the main character is Sgt obrient

in the beginning its shows him training when he first joined and during the war

his squad goes back to his home town and hes day dreaming to much and he gets shot by a russian

sniper the rest of the squad takes cover in a building and they are rushed by multiple troops and while they are being attacked

the Russians have 3 or 4 guys with mini-guns start shooting the place up then some Canadians come in for back up and every one in the squad feels ok like no ones been shot but someone was shot with out noticeing

this is just a small portion of the start just a small summary

i originally made it for mw3 but never got the game so i figured halo is easier and a bit better

not fully done with the entire story yet

Bfixer this sounds pretty good. If we don't do this as a community machinima we can do it some other time. I really like the idea.

only thing is that its a community machinima a.t.m. so we need others input to.

( not saying no but we need to wait and see what others say and want to and like i said if yours dont get picked then we will still do it =) )

• We need to decide on a tone to use. bfixer's idea sounded serious but I think we should mix in some comedy with it.
  
• We need to decide on a theme to use. I think a comedic approach to showing the realities of war might be kinda interesting.
  
• If I read correctly, it sounds like the "main character" dies...how is that going to work if we want to make a series out of it? At least don't make the main character die, have some random private get killed.

main character dies torward the end but i was planning on someone else dieing like Derek said i kinda should have like the new guy die just in case i or someone else decide to pick up were i left off at the end of this one

i was wanting some comedy involved with the Machinima so i dont think mine would be the one with comedy, not this one at least

comedy dose sound great for a community Machinima since every one would have great time making it

that is way to much. but a little never hurts to break a little bit of it's seriousness.

Agreed, if it's too serious or too funny (to the point where it becomes a huge joke) then people won't want to watch it.

Yeah, if you've ever seen the Halo 3 Machinima Deus Ex Machina, the last episode ended in a very stupid and way too much like a Robot Chicken way... Seriously, don't watch it, you'll have nightmares and get diseases you never even knew about.

once the script is finished we need to work on getting others to be in it.
