Getting Started With A Jtag

If you just got a JTAG XBox 360 Console and you dont know what to do then this could be useful information to you.

First off make sure your xbox works just fine and use any hard drive that works. Next open up your xbox Hard Drive Disc in Xplorer or Xport. Now download XEXloader that i have available for download in the homebrew section on this website (if you have any other homebrew software that launches XBE's [xbox1] or XEX's then that is just fine).

Now the XEX loader i have posted has a compressed RAR file that has a folder named C0DE9999 or something close to that (we will not be using ISO or XEX. We will be using the LIVE file ). Extract that folder to your desktop or somewhere you will remember. Take that folder and go to your HDD in Xplorer or Xport and drag the folder (C0DE9999) into content/00000000000/ (no resigning will be necessary)

Now put the HDD on your xbox (if your xbox experiences problem then you obviously did something wrong) and go to game demos or ALL games under the my xbox tab and if you see XEXloader then you did everything right. Now execute the demo and put your game in and download it to your hard drive. (dont install it to your hard drive through the dash it will make a bunch of useless data files)

Now when you are done find the folder that contains all the game files. Extract the XEX file and mod it (unless you have a pre-modded one then this would be alot easier). When the XEX is done over-write the xex on your HDD and your good to go. (if it is halo 3 then just extract the .map and edit it in Alteration and put it back on [to .map mod])

Now that you are done just make sure it works by trying to launch the XEX and see if it loads. If not the try again. If you think i left something essential out or was not clear just comment and i will fix it ASAP
