Well I know reach had a full campaign leak like a month befor the release so I hope something like that happens in halo 4

yea, good times being one of the first 10 people to play it. and being the first person to publicly make a forge map. lol

but that was leaked due to a reviewers copy on xbox live marketplace, im not sure they will let that happen again so we'll be lucky if it leaks a week early.

OT: If I'm not mistaken halo2, 3 and reach all had multiplayer betas. I don't see why 343 doesn't stick with it as it really helps polish the game in my opinion.

thats the exact opposite why they do betas, betas are done cause you get thousands of people playing testing the servers, maps, and the engine for glitches. its the most efficient way to test things and thats why even mojang has the public testings of all the versions of minecraft.

And how could it distract them from the game?

When your making a program and you want to give it someone before you release it and want to know what they think of it, thats like a company giving a beta of a game to the people who will play the game to se what they think of it and see whats wrong with it.
