I certainly hope not. While poking to offsets is a good place to start, you won't get very far with it unless you figure out the game's file formats.

And speaking of XEX poking, why on earth are we using Ascension to do it as opposed to a dedicated program?

we use ascension cause i made my program originally so i could mess around with poking reaches xex which was built into ascension and i had that program so i could save values i find in teh same thing i use to poke, which i later expanded on so you could save it to any game or item you want. cause all the program is is a manual poker i made that can save values, and read IDA code.
