I Have Some Xbmovie Problems...

7 posts in this topic

I have just flashed one of my Trinity RGH's to a Dev kernel using RGLoader and I am trying to get XBMovie to work. I have a GUI tool and when I use it I get this error then CMD immediately shuts down... I managed to capture the cmd window before it shuts down. It reads...

Preparing movie capture <press 'q' to abort>.

Movie capture preparation completed.

press a key to start movie capture <or 'q' to abort>.

The movie capture was terminated prematurely by the runtime.

Then shuts down... that all lasts about 1-2 seconds. Before the flash I had dashlaunch v3.0 and now I do not... Should I re install it or not because I am very confused by this error.

PS: I have the SDK and xbmovie.exe on the PC... I have tried 2 IP's the one on the kit (192.168.1.12) and the one when I press RB or go into network settings (192.168.1.8T)

on your harddrive go into the folder called Retail Hard drive Emulation, and make a folder in there called DEVKIT. this folder is where you put any of your games if you want them to show up in xshell as well it is where xbmovie saves the temperary files for your films you record.

once you make this folder it will also show up as a partition link to access it directly

DevUltra and Stormz like this

Ok thanks that did the trick... I only need help with one more thing... I need to change the background of the XDK from the RGLoader one to the regular XDK walpaper

an RGH is not meant to be a dev, thats why they changed it. and in order to edit that its quite a tricky process which can break things as you do it. I have a few friends that have done it, however i have never done it myself due to the process.

I would like to ask my question here. I'm using XBmovie GUI tool and the terminal says file transfer complete but I don't see the file anywhere. Any ideas where its saving to?
