Is It Possible To Get Console Commands On Xbox 360 Skyrim?

8 posts in this topic

I was wondering because i saw a mod that mods the controls in order to be able to

  • Quick Save/Load
  • Auto Walk
  • Hotkeys 1-6
  • Zooming in and out (3rd Person)

Just like on the PC version. So I was wondering if it is possible to put some kind of button combination for console commands.

I'll Put a link to the controls mod in case someone wants them.

(there is a .txt file with the controls added)

Credit to this mod goes to Jonthe838 v1.3

I don't believe you can open the console, people even replaced the files used to open the console with the pc version and it still didn't work.

But you can enter the commands in other ways(like that).

I just converted a mod that allows me to go to the dev room.

If you replace Data\Interface\TweenMenu.swf with Console.swf (rename it) then go in game and press B, you can bring up the console but we have not figured out any way to enable keyboard input. I've been thinking maybe it's a difference between retail/devkit? Anyway, default.xex is missing the internal functions to bring up the console. I'm pretty sure this is why it won't come up even if we set a custom button to do it.

Have you tried plugging in a keyboard into a usb port of the xbox? or maybe the keyboard attachment for the xbox controller
