8 posts in this topic

ok here im going to show you how to add special fx to ur mod

very simple tut--- YOU NEED A JTAG/Devkit

Step(1) open Ascention

Step(2) open your map of choice and go to [bipd] under that go to objects\characters\spartans\spartans

select that

Step(3) in the tag editer go to Attachments, and change the block count to 8 hit save [next to offset]

Step(4) go to block 7-7 then next to attachments click the dropdown and go to [effe] then find levels/multi/shared/juicy (or any special fx u want) then click ok.

Step(5) change marker, unkown, trigger, and unknown To 0

Do the same for elite, if u play as elite

When ur done, ur map will have a map with ur specal fx on!!!!

Or just do this: Link :P

Has the the same effect and you dont have to mess around with any attachments.

Nonetheless, thats nice, little tutorials you wrote there and shows that you´re actually trying new things out, instead of just copying already existing mods and tutorials.

Congrats on your first tutorial! Like SnipeStyle said, it's great to see people experimenting and trying new things instead of just leeching off of others' work.

I'd watch out with increasing block counts. By doing so you are actually overwriting existing data from another structure, which could easily cause problems if you aren't careful.

Nice, Definitely add some pictures and it will be even better :) Like Snipe said, it's nice to see that people are actually doing their own tutorials for mods like these.

Nice work man, keep it up :)
