General Patched?

um ok sso i tried modding the other day and i think either im doing something wrong or maybe they patched it? what could this be?

In Left 4 Dead 1 it's patched for sure. Not sure about 2.

Try clearing the cache or see if there is a version number somewhere on the main menu.
