How Do You Convert A Offline Screenshot To A Online Screenshot?

19 posts in this topic

Uploading a modded screenshot to your fileshare isn't really a good idea in the first place...it's basically asking to be banned.

Theoretically speaking... if your doing like jtag mods like for example a tankhog kinda mod ,use two xbox's one retail and one jtag, have the retail connected to xboxlive but have it system linked using like xbslink or somthing, and have the jtag system linked also. so both xbox's play together then mod with jtag. then save film with retail then play, then take screenshot

I was wondering how do you convert a offline screenshot to a online screenshot in Halo 4?

Don't do it. Changing an offline file to appear as 'online', and then trying to upload it to your fileshare, would get you a fileshare ban in Reach, and since they copied everything security-wise from Reach it's probably the same.

I've seen modded screenshots in the Most Downloaded list in Halo Reach.

Thanks for warning me but how can they tell?

Screenshots of mods and screenshots with custom pictures injected are two different things.

Then he should try taking an offline screenshot and injecting the photo in an online screenshot?

Yeah.

Even if that works, it still isn't a good idea to do so. If 343i finds the screenshot or someone reports it, you'll get banned pretty quickly.

How do they know it's not a screenshot of someone else modding in a matchmaking game? I would've taken pictures if someone was modding in either customs or matchmaking if I wasn't a modder myself.

Well, if the picture contains anything you can't see in a matchmaking game (ie shader swapps), that's a give-away. Also nobody has modded Halo 4 online yet, as you can't get jtag's online.

The thing is that OP means injecting a completely foreign picture into an existing screenshot, not uploading a picture of an in-game mod.

Did you even read the post I said how do you convert a offline screenshot to a online screenshot in Halo 4? Not How do you get a injected screenshot online I already asked that.

I had figured you were still asking about it since the other thread was locked, and also since I recall injected images being read as offline.

Apologies, then.

Well I was talking about getting films or screenshots from RGH on your fileshare and yeah I know injecting screenshots and putting them on your fileshare is frowned upon.

Why don't you just make an offline screenshot and swap the image in an online screenshot? If people are able to upload non-halo photos onto their fileshares then you should be able to do the same.
