Categorized Favorites Menu by favmenumodder

This mod replaces the single favorites menu with several categorized

favorites menus, with subcategories. Use the mouse and mouse wheel,

or WASD or the arrow keys to navigate. Ctrl+mouse wheel switches

between lists.

Please read this section and the FAQ below before posting to the discussion page.

Requirements:

SKSE is required for saving settings from the game (menu position,

equipset creation, etc). SKSE can be downloaded from

http://skse.silverlock.org/

The mod can be used without SKSE, but you won't be able

to create equipsets in-game or save the position of the menu (without

SKSE, you'll have to edit the configuration file.

Recommended minimum resolution is 1024x768.

Features:

  • Categorizes favorited items into separate lists.
  • Each list can have sub-categories, for organizing your items further.
  • "Equip sets" for equipping different sets of favorited items
    (experimental). See "Equip sets" below.
  • The menu and lists are configurable in favoritesmenu.cfg, with many
    configuration options, including:
  • Menu position on screen
  • Width and length of lists (individually configurable per list)
  • Layout of the lists
  • List text alignment (left or right alignment)
  • Font sizes and colors
  • Separate hotkey colors
  • Custom lists by item name

If you enjoy this mod please go to the original release page and endorse it or express your gratitude in a post.

All my patchkits require ApplyPatch

1) Download mod from original mod page.

2) Download patchkit.

3) Extract all to same folder.

4) Run bat file to apply patch.

version 0.1.17 Confirmed working by me

Notes:

  • To move between lists use the left stick, if i remember correctly left/right on the d-pad does not work
  • This mod is highly customizable! By using this patchkit, you'll be using my settings (pic), if you need help setting your own custom menu, just ask and i'l try to help.
  • Also, as you'll see in the picture, some custom items and spells may go to the others list

So I tried to add in configurations for two spell packs I use and realized I won't be able to because the MD5 won't match up. Any chance of getting this to work for these to spell packs? Apocalypse and Phenderix? I wouldn't want you to have to upload an entirely new file.

For that you'll have to modify the favoritesmenu.cfg and create your own mod (or just replace my bsa for with yours inside the mod with velocity)

Two possibilities here:

If you want those spells to appear in the magic list (under the categories alteration, destruction, etc), then you'll have to add each one to the correct sublist in the magic list.

If you want them to have their own list on the favorites menu (say: powers | phenderix | Apocalypse | etc) then you have to create your own list and, if you wish to separate the spells, new sublists, again adding the names one by one. You'll also need to modify those entries:

from the original favoritesmenu.cfg

[layout]

row1 = Hotkeyed, Potions, Shouts/Powers, Magic, Equip Sets

row1_height_list = Hotkeyed

row2 = Apparel, spacer1, Weapons, spacer2, Other

row2_height_list = Apparel

so that your new list shows up in game

If you can use bsaopt, i suggest extracting my bsa and modifying my favoritesmenu.cfg so that your screen position is already fixed.

If creating from the original, modify those lines to best fit your screen (they set the "borders" below and to the left of the menu, basically changing where the menu begins)

those coordinates are based in the cartesian coordinate system, but the Y-axis is inverted (negative numbers goes up, and positive number go down), the original numbers set the menu way up and to the right for me, so that a big part of it was off-screen

menu_base_x = 7(i use -50 i think)

menu_base_y = -730 (mine is something like -400)

and to adjust the size of the favorites menu itself

default_num_list_entries = (number of entries on any list without scrolling down, i use 10)

row1_height_list = (the list that sets the height of the row, in conjuction with the next one, i use magic)

for each list

num_entries = (ignores the default_num_list_entries if a number is set here)

Any other doubts don't hesitate to ask!

Repacking the bsa worked. ^_^ And simple enough to incorporate a couple other mods I had. Thank you!
