How To Make Phantom Shoot Shade Well You Fly !

step one make phantom drivable :P if u need a tut then ask me later

 

step 2 go to phantoms chin gun vehicle and put spawned actor on ai generic

 

step 3 go to pelican's rocket pods vehicles and null out all seats and put ai to ai generic as well is what I did :P

 

step 4 swap phantoms chin gun weapon for pelican rocket pod after u make pelicans rocket pod fire shade shots and firing effect to phantom shade cannon shooting

 

 step 5 enjoy phantom

 

bugs :P the turret ai uses will fire a 3 round burst and wait a second before fireing it again I don't know how to make it a continues pew pew pew pew pew like real phantom turret dose also set rounds a second min and max same as phantom's turret to make it look just like phantoms

 

if any one can find out how to get it to work with real phantom turret and not have to swap it with pelican pods then feel free to post or if u find out how to fix the 3 round burst thing for ai please post it here lol I took me a while to get this to work so I wanted to share it with community :)

For that you need to go to "char" ai\generic in meta editor and edit the values like this but is applies to Halo 2 Vista...

Y u no use Assembly for H2V?

 

I use Assembly but it doesn't have enough meta editor plugins to do that trick = )

I'm saying that i can do that for Halo 2 Vista, not Halo 3, but if the process is the same... why don't you try it ?

I don't mod Halo 3 or any other Halo®... i don't know other program's plugins so...

I also really want to know how to make phantom's chin gun shoot for me while I am flying the phantom without swapping weapons.

Wow, I also have the same issue. When I change ai_generic_turret to ai_generic for spawn actor and built in gunner, and I tried other things too, but nothing worked.

This is a rewritten tutorial of this tutorial

Step one: Make the Phantom driveable. To make it driveable, you must change the animation label of the Phantom to either warthog_d or ghost_d. After that you will need to uncheck the Invalid For Player and Invalid For Non-Player in the flag section just above.

Step two: Find the Phantom Chin Gun tag and open it up. Once it is up search for spawned actor in the search bar and change the ai\generic_turret to ai\generic.

Step three: Open up the pelican_rocket_pod tag and find spawned actor. When you've found it, you must set the class tag to char and pick ai\generic. After that null out all the seats in it.

Step four: Open up the pelican_rocket_pod weapon tag and change the projectile to phantom plasma turret projectile. You will need to do this for the firing effect too. Just simply change the Pelican firing effect to the Phantom firing effect. You can also make some modifications to the weapon itself.

Step five: Open up the Phantom Chin Gun vehicle tag again and swap out the Phantom weapon to the pelican_rocket_pod.

Step six: Enjoy !
