Getting Cpu Key From Xdk

Can it be done on a Jasper kit? I've used HvxDump but all that seems to do is dump a range of files from 1bl.bin to smc.bin, but no CPU Key.

Jesus, you signature tripped me for a second. Anyway, I believe there are several ways to get it. I'll search for you.

It should dump a file with the cpu key in it. Havent used the tool in a while

Back in the day, you had to manage to find either the 4929 or 5426 recoveries, recover to one of those, and then run Gentoo via the KK exploit to get your keys...

 

A quick search says you're looking for HvxDump v1.3. I'd link to a download but I'm not sure if that's allowed. Just google it I guess. It dumps fuses (including CPU key), keyvault, bootloaders, 1BL, and SMC. Should be all you need.

 

EDIT: HAH MAYBE I SHOULD HAVE READ THE OP BETTER. Fuses include your CPU key, at lines 04 and 05. HvxDump should have dumped fuses for you.

I did get a fuses.txt but they were all 0's

Strange. Have you tried running from an older recovery? Try 11164.3 if you have it.

Worked, fuses are as they should be.

Got CPU Key. Thanks for the help.

Have you tried using HVXBootOS? Above a certain flash, HVXboot does not work so using OS will grab your key for you by booting directly into xell.

Can't say I've used that. Either way downgrading and HvxDump worked for me. I guess it's not compatible with newer recoveries.

Hvxdump does not work with newer recoveries, I believe it stops working after 20500.0

If you are on a newer recovery, just use HVXbootOS to grab your key. It boots directly into xell on your kit.

You dont need to downgrade your kit to use hvxboot OS.
