Halo 3 Odst Xex

hay people im kinda new to this website i just wanted to ask for a little help i used halo 3 unlock and every time i try to start halo 3 odst it say can not play its driving me bonkers can sum one plz link me a modded xex thx

I have the same problem sorta... :pinch:

 

a: Have origional odst disk.

 

b: Have copyd odst on hard drive (just folders and files .xex .maps etc)

 

c: have halo 3 unlock.. But it does not work...

 

D: could someone help me (or pm me) with the solution on how to hack the .xex so we can play it on a jtagged jasper xbox 360 + edit the .mod files in alteration.

 

No more :lock:  :), have been looking for a while but all offer the same halo3hack and it looked fairly straightforeward but i'm not skilled enough to figure out what is missing by myself. Thanks in advance

I recommend you use assembly :) Its better in my own opinion,

Why should i use assembly over alteration ?

 

(have modded only halo 3 so far and will continue to do so, however want to have odst ready so my friend can mod that one).

 

Hi, this looks great only i don't have a working .iso, and cannot make one from my disk for some reason anymore (to damaged probably).

 

As a plan B i can get a .iso from somehere else but that would take time and was wondering if there is also an option to hack the complete extracted folder? (with the .xex + .map folder + other files related to the game).

 

Please help if you can :smile:.

P.s. Thank also anybody who helped create all these wonderfull toolz and apps for the Jtag/hacked consoles :)/modding tools for the individual games! This is really a positive imput for my life and unlocks multydimensional pleasure in the digital world for me. EDIT: (sounds kinda gay but its really fun though hehe!)

You don't need an iso. You just change the source filetype to all files in ppfomatic.

I just type * and hit enter, in any program that tries to limit the filetype, works even if there is no drop-down option for it. Edited by MBP

If you would like an answer as to why to use assembly over alteration, I would suggest looking at how long it takes to load a tag or map in general in alteration vs assembly.  Also, some stuff doesn't work at all.

I say use assembly,

 

1. it can do way more

2. is has more values and hidden option mapped out

3. cleaner

4. it has better poking in my opinion, espcially with the patch poker :D
