Reach To Be The Last Halo? Nooooooooo! :notfair:

So I was looking around on the internet for REACH's release date, which is September 14th 2010 in the UK and USA, and 15th for Japan by the way.

Anyway, I came across an article over at IGN which basically said that Bungie has announced that Halo: REACH will be the end of our beloved franchise, I personnally think that Activision has something to do with this, as I read in a newspaper that Bungie announced that they were gonna continue making Halo games for another decade, and I read this just before they signed with Activision.

What I think happened was that Activision now have the right to bring Bungie games to PS3 and Bungie saw that the only way to stop Halo, our beloved XBOX ONLY TITLE, from entering the sick and twisted world of Sony's PS3 was to shut down the series and keep it safe from losing its XBOX ONLY TITLE. A good example of this happening is Bioshock. I got the limited edition and I still have the case which says XBOX ONLY on, before it came out for PS3, so I guess we all just have to hope that the same doesn't happen to Halo.

Did you even read the article? It will be the last Halo made by Bungie. However 343 industries, the same people who made waypoint, will be heading the halo series from post-reach onward.

thats why i hate companys with PS3. The PS3's companys cant think of any GOOD games and since none of them are as good as xbox's, they buy xbox companys and make xbox game's, or the most popular ones as PS3 games.

Cuz they have now signed with Activision, Activision have a right to do it.

Urm... No.

Activision doesn't own the Halo IP. Microsoft Games Studios does. Bungie are just developers of the IP. Activision don't own Halo, just Bungie on a 10 year contract.

first off there is not way this will happen with halo, because microsoft owns halo's name. because halo 1 was the ONLY reason people got a xbox. im not kidding ether halo 1 single handedly kept xbox in the markets, then halo 2 came out with online mode and then every one had an xbox even if they did not have xbox live.

No, MS game studios owns the rights to Halo. Bungie is just a developer for them. This is how ensemble made halo wars and 343 Industries made Halo Waypoint.

Much the same Activision has two companies that make Call of Duty.

Bungie, Ensemble, 343 > Microsoft Game Studios

Infinity Ward, Treyarch > Activision
