Haloman30 has a question: "does EVERY campaign map have a cube BSP of some sort?"

What is a "cube BSP"?

There are couple BSPs in Halo 3 that are just a cube(s). I don't believe every map has one, and one could use Adjutant to look.

Um, that was sort of a rhetorical question, however I would like to know why BSP's from Floodgate or The Storm don't inject properly, almost regardless of what map they are injected into. And I don't know if it's JUST those two, but those are the levels i'm having trouble with right now. When I inject the BSP's it does this in Adjutant:

And when the map is loaded in-game It crashes even before I change anything in SCNR.

I just tried injecting that bsp myself and it shows up in adj so I'd have to say you've missed something in the tutorial.

Oh good. thats what I was hoping. I am going to go to the TuT again.

I got your patch working, you didn't fix the instanced geometry bsp indexes or the sldt index.

Fixing those and adding sldt into scnr got it showing in adj.

Oh, well that patch was going by your statement saying if it didn't load on the Quick Test just try a different BSP so yeah i'll remember that, thanks.

Not quite. The last real development was decals which I added to the tutorial shortly after.

Though I could probably add something about the clusters in scnr BSP groups, since they can be the cause of some small visual issues.

Well is there any easy way of finding the bad shaders, or do I have to manually disable and then enable around 150 shaders?

Bad shaders? The ones that cause you're game to crash or ones that look funky?

Yeah, primarily the ones that crash the game.

im not sure the exact cause but i think it might have something to do with some of the types.

when I was importing shaders for my grassy avalanche the RMTR shaders that contain the shaders\terrain_templates\_0_0_0_0_0_0 tend to fail to load and RMSH shaders with shaders\shader_templates\_0_0_1_1_1_2_0_0_0_0

however i havent tested enough to know if these are the exact causes however you can see if nulling the shaders with these templates does fix your crashing error to give you a place to start.

as well if anyone else has found certain shaders that fail post their shader templates to see if there is just a certain set that fails

Will there ever be able to manipulate how a bsp's cluster looks like? Say, the ground for instance. Not talking about Halo CE and H2 but H3 and above.

Would require injection of a new model.

So the ground is stored somewhere in the raw table without a tag then I assume.

the bsp is what contains the grounds geometry and its instanced geometry items

I know bsp injecting is sketchy for Halo Reach but I was wondering where the BSP Index is located in the [sbsp] tag. What offset is it located at so I can add it to the plugin?

Reach does not have Instanced Geometry in the sbsp tag, it was moved to raw. Same with Halo 4.

BSP problem! I have a moddified bsdt tag, I injected it but when I boot the map it shows that no changes were made, It just looks like the default map. Here is how I have my tags setup

Injecting the bsdt just gets the tags in the map, the tutorial says how to apply them.
