Halo 4 Zero Bloom Help

So I play Halo 4.....a lot, and I play competitively on MLG Sanctuary, today I wanted to replicate the gametype from Halo: Reach. I got all the settings right in Horizon, except for no bloom on the DMR, I noticed there was no setting for it and then I tried to search everywhere for a no bloom gametype, but all I could find was the one for Reach. So if someone could make the community a gametype with zero-bloom in Halo 4, that'd be awesome. I would myself, but I don't really want to get into modding right now, since I'm too busy with things I do.

Its not all that hard bro, just open up the gametype from KSoft in Notepad, find WeaponTuning, and just change Value16 for MarksmanRifle to 0.

You cannot access weapon tuning from the Horizon editor... this requires decoding the gametype .variant file with KSoft, and a program that reads .xml files.

 

I will be a nice fellow and link you a gametype made by my good friend Gordon, which has zero bloom + some adjustments to auto-aim/magnetism, for a more challenging experience... but only this one time. ;)

If you want anything else to be changed, and you want it done badly... then you will have to start learning how to mod gametypes & do it yourself.

Ok, so I finally got k.soft working but when I got the variant and scrolled down to Marksman, the only values I saw was <MarksmanRifle> <Value7>11.9996414</Value7>


I know I can't use Horizon, and I've already seen Skill Slayer, but I still want the magnetism, plus this gives me some more experience with modding, all I need to know now is why the value isn't 16

Fair enough then. I'm not 100% positive on this, but I believe the value that you need to change is within the "<OneBarrel> </OneBarrel>" section, and if you can't see the value16 for MarksmanRifle, then all you have to do is add it yourself.

 

Here is the DMR...

        <MarksmanRifle>
          <Value16>"insert number here"</Value16>
        </MarksmanRifle>

 

and assuming all the weapons need to be in a certain order to encode correctly, this should go under <AssaultRifle>.
