Discuss what you liked, hated, loved about it. I loved it, everything about the missions, stuff, etc. PvP I'm at a standstill about as I can't say I liked it or not really. I'm just hoping they will have a pvp flying matches. highly doubt it, but we have ships. ;) Sadly it will be an always online thing though. Oh well.

Anywhoo, discuss your thoughts plse & thanks.

I loved PvE and the storyline missions. I feel like the game could lose focus from PvE and just transition to PvP if the level cap is going to be different from the generic MMO route. Unless they could do some type of hardcore PvE where normally there is just the storyline and other fireteam missions to do to hit a generic level cap (like 20) so people can play PvP or do raids with friends easily, but for the hardcore type of mode there is a lot larger level cap that will take ages (Not forever but not too fast either) to get to and harder missions that are only exclusive to the hardcore and dedicated crowd. This hardcore mode will be separate from the normal core so people won't feel sad about seeing a level 100 vs a level 20. Like for example your one character can be split into two kind of additional character that if you just want to play normally with normal level cap of 20 then you can but if you want to play with a different advantages and disadvantages you can play with only people who are also playing the hardcore mode. It will be like playing two different versions of the game, maybe like Ocarina of Time with the Master Quest.

Yo that PvP moon map blows. It's way to big and and it doesn't play well when you're rolling on foot, the vehicles are just to op on the map.

I wasn't able to play it because I don't have XBL Gold anymore and trial codes didn't work on 360...

That said, I watched some videos of it and it looks pretty fun. Not going to preorder, but I'll keep it on my radar. The music also sounds pretty nice too (Marty <3) and not Halo-y (which is a good thing IMHO).

I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. Both PvP and PvE were enjoyable, I just wish the AR wasn't overpowered, the lack of public chat is contradicting to the game's objective(s), and more people would get a better internet connection. Other than that, I don't have really any big complaints; now I just cannot wait for September!

Pros:

  • PvE was good and story was pretty good.
  • I didn't have anyone to play with other than my former Algebra II teacher so I was playing solo most of the time. But playing with him made things a lot more fun.
  • Customization for armor was sweet.
  • Weapons were cool looking.
  • Visuals were great minus the 360 version.
  • Soccer ball at the tower was fun.
  • Classes were cool. Warlock is my favorite.
  • Saves work cross platform. Finally a game that does that.

Cons:

  • A social game with no communication
  • I still don't like the idea of fire teams. 4 player squad seems better. Now it seems like my friend Brandon will not be joining me and my other 2 friends on the story.  :(
  • Music wasn't awesome like Halo. Not sure if any of Marty's music was in it before he got fired but if it was he really went downhill from his beautiful Halo music.
  • Level Cap was too low.
  • The "competitive" MP was boring and it seemed like they wanted to present a similar experience to Halo's MP but they failed at it. I don't care for it and probably won't play it often or at all if it is not better in the final build.
  • God the devil walker wouldn't die even with a team of Level 8's.
  • Why is a revolver a primary weapon?
  • Making cash seems difficult. I sense micro-transactions.

Overall I like it but I'll hold off on getting it until all my other friends get it.

I played the beta on my Xbox One and I thought the graphics were the best out of all other xbone games I've played except for maybe Forza.

Level Cap was only for beta really and I understand why they did that as well. It was so you did not have people going to unwanted places at low levels on beta. in the game, level is going to be high I'm betting. Also, I beat the devil walker all by myself, and I was not even on the right mission. I wish I had recorded that success. I could not believe I did it, but I did. But yes, he was hard. But that is what I enjoyed was it was hard on normal. They should have another level of difficulty though IMO.

Cash I thought was difficult until I looked at farming and saw that they had random pop-up chests everywhere. I made 7k + within the last day. I wanted to get a spaceship. lol.

Revolver might get upgrades, you never really know. My cousin Nolan would kicka** with a revolver as a primary. He is known as God of Death on Halo Reach Multiplayer and Halo 4 Multiplayer. lol.

Assualt Rifle did not seem all that op, in real life it is op to many hence needing a permit to carry a full auto weapon, so you want us to by a year permit in game or something? lol. If you did not notice, you can unlock upgrades to guns that give almost 10+ attack to the weapon itself and many people did that. I did after realizing that.

Why are you comparing reality to a video game? Video games are not meant to realistic. I know the uncommon weapons have upgrades, I used them to increase my attack to 62 on my weapons, but I couldn't find an auto-rifle that was uncommon. Fortunately, the scout rifle is amazing with headshots.

Reason is a game should be fun, not boring and lifeless like life is what I was getting at. Life is fun if you live in big cities and stuff except for people shooting at you(that part ain't fun), but in a small town where there are no roller coasters, no bowling, no nothing other than bicycling around and and minimal jobs, it just is kinda of boring. A lot of small town kids could tell you the same reason they left the small town.

So all I was getting at is the AR may be op, but that is what makes the game a little more fun as its just a little bit harder to kill you is all. You kind of need that power if you go on the hard difficulty anyway.

I'm not sure how comparing small to large cities was relevant in the least bit to Destiny, my post, or video games being realistic, but okay. A realistic game would have you drop to the ground the second you were shot anywhere, hence, video games not being realistic and they shouldn't be.

Anywho, I'm pumped for this game and despite its flaws, I'll enjoy it and I hope you will too.

Who knows, I think I was either high off caffeine or in a pissed off mood. I also forgot to mention that I found an uncommon auto-rifle at 62 using the engrams. You have to decode a lot of those though.
