Hey guys I've been getting quite hyped over Halo 2 Anniversary and I'm going back to play Halo 2 over XBC (Xbox Connect) to get ready for this November. I would like to host a game night of Halo 2 for my fellow XboxChaos members on Friday, August 22nd at 7pm CST.

If you are interested then please come play its been a long time since I played Halo 2 and I think it would be fun to play with other XboxChaos members. I might also see if any people from Se7ensins want to join in as well.

If you want to join but don't know how to then I have very quick instructions in the spoiler below:

What You Will Need:

  • Original Xbox or Xbox 360(They do not need to be modified)
  • Halo 2
  • PC or laptop
  • Ethernet cable
  • Program called Xbox Connect (Google it to find a download)

There are two methods I know that work:

Method A:

This method is if you have a laptop.

  1. Download and install Xbox Connect
  2. On your PC go to Control Panel/Network and Internet/Network and Sharing Center/Change Adapter Settings(It's on the Left)
  3. Then you will see two things called Local Area Connection and Wireless Network Connection you want to either highlight both of them, right click and choose "Bridge Networks" or open wireless connection, go to properties, sharing tab, and check, "Allow other network users to connect through this computer's internet connection"
  4. Plug Ethernet Cable into Laptop
  5. You should be good. See if XBC can detect the console. To detect console make sure you are looking for games in system link.

Method B:

This method is for people or have desktop computers (Will also work if you have a laptop)

NOTE: You will need two Ethernet cables.

  1. Download and install Xbox Connect
  2. Plug both Ethernet cables into your router
  3. You should be good. Make sure XBC can detect your console. To detect console make sure you are looking for games in system link.

You will not have to port forward if you have upnp enabled in your router. If you need more help then PM me.

I hope to see at least a few members come play. I have tried to start game nights in the past with no luck :(.
