General Master Chief Collection Physical or Digital Copy?

MCC will be here soon but I don't know if I want to get the physical copy or just pre-order it and pre-load it off the Xbox Store.

 

The only problem is that I have kind of a Halo shrine in my room and I would like to have the physical copy to put by my other Halo games.

But if I get the digital copy I would be able pre-load both the game and the annoying 20GB patch and be able to play it right when the game comes out. Also I won't have to waste gas money driving to Gamestop at 12am and wait in line to get my copy.

 

What do you guys think I should do?

I go digital exclusively now. I love the idea of a clean room. My living room consists of my 360 with only three games on disc, all of which are stored in a drawer with my controllers. My movies are all digital, and the discs are stored under our king size bed. I'm converted. It just looks so clean and tidy. I doubt I'll buy disc-based games much at all in the future, and if I do it'll only be games I know I'll want to play, beat, and sell.

if you have your display and you feel that the MCC is worth showing you might as well get the disk. considering this game is ones you've already played waiting another day (or 4 in my case with that 20gb download) is worth the wait due to being able to see your display later on. (although for this i would get a mjolnir edition so I had a statue, since just a game case in my opinion isnt enough for a display)

If you have the internet connection for it, I find digital copies to just be so much easier. Unless it's really worth it for you to have a physical copy on your shelf, you'd probably be a lot happier if you just downloaded it.

I'm probably going to go ahead and get the digital version because of the updating and not wanting to go to gamestop but I know in a week or two after I get it I'll end up spending another 60 dollars on the Physical copy. Oh well it's my money and I guess 343i will get 120 dollars off of me.

I'm going digital for all games I know I'm going to keep (I've gone digital for MCC, and physical for Destiny). If you want something to show off, you can buy empty game cases on Ebay for a just a few bucks.

Why do people say M$ throws out bans all the time? I have been a live member for 11 years and never had any problem with them ever trying to suspend or banned my account.

We did things against the Terms of Service, and were banned. Permanent bans are rare, and pretty hard to get. Smaller bans (24 hours/7 days etc) are more common, but I haven't received any sort of ban since I stopped doing stupid things.

Back when my retail acc got banned, and after deleting everything on my xbox one, including my banned xbox one profile. I was still able to re-download all of my games I purchased, except DLC. So getting banned is no issue on xbox one. Even if the profile was banned on 360, they say you forfit everything but I beg to differ, on xbox one, after deleting everything and my banned acc In the games tab on the far right, it gave me a option to redownload everything and play them without having to be on my banned profile.

i had this delima as well, but yesterday i started the download, what ultimately changed my mind was the 20 gb update for disk, i felt like if i just bought the disk i didnt want to drive wait in line, get back at 1 put the disk in only to be forced to wait 12 more hours to playu, only to go to work in 30 minutes and wait another 8 hours to finally delve in, so ya i went digital  so that i can have 20 days to download in the background and play it at 12 exactly

How in the hell did you get banned on an xbox one account since there is nothing to ban you yet, no exploits, no save data readers or modifiers yet. the only way i can see is if your 360 profile was banned when you had both xboxs at the same time. Even then its my understanding that they run off 2 seperate gold engines/servers.

Microsoft now does bans on all the consoles that connected from your home IP or whatever. Its what happens when you take a modded xbox online.

I lost my haloman30 account a couple years back for modding avatar colors, when I did a bunch of Halo 3 usermap mods (before I got RGH). Not too hard to get a perma ban. (yes 9999 ban for colors)
