I always wanted to spawn a bunch in marines in firefight just like installation 04 on diff maps but don't know how. Is there like a tut or something?

Youll need to inject the marines with assembly to the firefight map you want and then set a gun's projectile to the marine bibed.

And Youll Need A Modified Console.

Im Going to go off the best of my head.

Ok If you've got assembly, then listen carefully. In XeXMenu or fsd on your xbox (of your choice), go in the halo reach game root. and go in the maps folder, there you'll see a ff10_prototype.map file, (Which is the overlook firefight map). Thats the map you'll inject marines on.

But if you want a different map to inject the marines on you can do that. Like the map "Unearthed" Thats a better map to inject them
to. But i don't know the root map name for it. so you'll probably need to get that map from the halo reach map pack that contains it.
Then In The installation04 which contains the marines. you'll need to put that map with the ff10_prototype.map As Well. Then take your usb out and go to your computer, And open the installation04.map with assembly and then in the "bipd" tag, go down to the marine tag (Im not sure what the tag is actually called because I've never done this before). And right click on it, and hit "extract with raw" and extract it to your liking, and name it, "Marine". and then in assembly open the ff10_prototype.map and at the bottom left you'll see an "import" option. Then open the "Marine" tag (which you extracted earlier), and give assembly about 20 seconds to import it. When its done. you'll need a way to have it put into your game. so the best option, is to have a gun or something shoot a marine out of it as a projectile. So, to do it, go to the "weap" tag and go to a gun you want to shoot out the marine. For example,
you can make the needler shoot it. Which is the tag "weapons\needler" (or something like that) in the "weap" tag, then open it (the needler) and go to bottom. There you will see the Setting "initial projectile" then next to it you'll see that its looking in the "weap" tag.

So then change it to the "bipd" tag, and then next to that it should change to "null", in what its shooting, so then change that to "levels\multi\installation04\biped\marine" (or something like that). And then hit save at the bottom.

You Are Done!  :DBut Remember To Replace The "Installation04.map" In The Halo Reach Maps Folder With The One You Modded!

-Ive never done this for halo reach before, but i know you can do it. Sorry about how long i made the tutorial be, but i wanted to me very specific.   :)

I really hope this helped you!  :)

Well thanks, but no really what I was looking for. Hope this helps others!

Then what are you looking for?

You want marines on ff levels that are not installation 04, so injection is necessary.

Then effect spawning would be the easiest method to get them ingame.

That would be a bit complicated to do on a firefight map since forge isnt on firefight. I would know how to select spawn points

in firefight but I dont know how to change what it spawns, like having it spawn a marine. And if you wanted to save your firefight map

with the spawn points set to it, its not possible to save a firefight map :( .Unlease you want to convert the whole map to forge, but that would take forever.

Your better of playing "AI Playground" In Halo 3. Because you can select spawn points that spawn ai when you start it, and it's in forge and not firefight. And with the ai playground map, you can save the spawn points you placed.

If you have halo 3, I Sent you a message for ai playground

Spawning ai throw spawn points and setting up ai squads and so on.

There isn't really any tutorials for that so best I can say is see how ff_halo does it for its marines then copy the values along with the initially placed flag so you don't have to mess with scripts. But once they die they won't come back unless you create scripts to do so, which would be pretty difficult.
