Help how to delay grenade throw

Hy, i want to make a mod where you play as a marine the only thing i can't get right is the grenade throw,when i press the button to throw the grenade,the grenade is thrown and then the animation plays,i was wondering if there is a way i can delay the grenade throw so it will sync with the marine third person animation
