i need more info on a jtag and dev kit deacandian use a dev kit too wat i kno i seen his youtube videos this is sorta how i got here and wanted to kno is a dev kit a other xbox console or a flashed xbox or a jtaged xbox plz help just PM or reply i dont want to get one if u have to buy one yet mabye soon just help thx even just a lil will be thankful

A developers kit is some thing you buy and is usually expensive so most people get a jtag which is cheaper but you have to be good at soldering because you have to open up your xbox and soldier something inside it. you can also iso mod if you have a flashed 360 and no a developers kit is not another type of xbox.

YES, a developers kit IS another type of xbox 360. Why do people say it's not? It's got most of the same components, and runs on some of the same motherboards as retails and JTAGs. Now, it cannot connect to xbox live because it was made for game developers. But on the upside it has another set of RAM, which means you can poke changes(AKA Real time halo). A JTAG however is just a retail xbox 360 with homebrew installed. The process of installing the homebrew requires you to solder some connections on the motherboard, then flash an image back to the mobo through an LPT or USB port.

I would reccomend getting a JTAG, because even though the public can't RTH with them at the moment, there are several parties that have achieved it or working on it. So wait patiently about 4 or 6 months and you may get a public release.

I've iso moded with halo 3 unlock and it worked fine on my flashed 360.And yes it's another type of xbox I just found out.

You need home brew installed though h3 unlock is in halo 3 modding programs.

Until you can show us proof of a .map mod on a flashed xbox that isn't JTAG'd, I don't believe it.
