How To Install Freestyle Dash 2.0

6 posts in this topic

This was completely written by me.

download:

www.teamfsd.com

-Step 1-

Extract FSD2 Alpha.zip and send content to your Xbox 360. Launch Default.xex using your preferred method.Do not run this from CD/DVD as it may sometime require write access to game. The first time you start it, it will ask to save data to USB or HDD, choose the appropriate.

Next you need to set your games path and marketplace locale.

FTP to your xbox.(Many tuts out there to do this)Wherever you selected on the startup there will be a folder called fsd2data.Inside it there will be a file called fsdconfig.xml, drag and drop it onto your desktop. From your desktop you want to right click and hit edit.

-Step 2-

Now from here you need to put your locale inside of the <local></locale>.(Mine was en-US) Then find the opening <paths> tag and highlight untill you see the closing one, then delete. Then you need to put your path to where all you games and shit are.

EX- Mine: <path>hdd1:\content\0000000000000000</path>(Yes you have to put a <path> tag inside of the <paths> tag when doing this.

So the whole thing would read:

<paths><path>hdd1:\content\0000000000000000</path></paths>

-Step 3-

Then saave it and put it back on your Hdd. In freestyle dash go to settings and all the way to the right and select reload skin. Then at the bottom it will say that it is scanning for something. Once its done see if xex menu is in the homebrew tab. If it is then you did it correctly.

YOU HAVE TO START THE DEFAULT.XEX EVERTIME YOU REBOOT CONSOLE!!!!

(Unless you use dash launch. haha)

Good ol' dashlaunch. My default launch setup points directly to FSD2 so I don't have launch it every time I turn on the console.
