Perks Unbound by Iriodus

I merged the Dawnguard addon with the main esp so if you use the DG version, the main mod is not needed.

Perks Unbound - Dawnguard Supported

===============

Perks Unbound is the replacement for ClassicNoodle's "No Perk Prerequisites", which is a Pre-CK mod, and pre-CK tools have been proven to corrupt mods (TESVSnip specifically), so I decided to make the mod from the ground up with the Creation Kit.

Perks Unbound allows you to skip past perks you don't want or need, so that way you are not wasting precious perk points. The only requirements that have been maintained, with some minor exceptions, are skill level requirements.

E.g. If you are only interested in "Dragon Smithing" you don't need to take all of the perks in-between.

There are some minor exceptions:

- Perks that have a Novice to Master progression have not been changed.

- Steady Hand was left alone as it requires Eagle Eye to function, and Disarming Bash requires Power Bash for the same reason.

- The Impact perk still requires Destruction Dual Casting, and Deadly Bash does not require Power Bash (In practice it seems to work fine without it).

Optional Download: Perks Unbound - Helmless Warrior

===============

This is a version of Perks Unbound where a Helmet is not required for Armor perks to function.

This needs to be used in the place of "Perks Unbound.esp", as the mods are mostly the same, except for the differences noted below:

1) Helmets are no longer required for armor perks to function.

2) The perks modified are: Cushioned, Well Fitted, Matching Set, Reflect Blows, Custom Fit, Matching Set, Wind Walker, and Deft Movement.

3) The Abilities "PerkWindWalkerStamina" and "PerkAbReflectBlows" also needed to be modified for this mod to work as intended.

4) The Spells "DBFullSet" and "TGFullSet" have been modified. Effects Shrouded Armor and Nightingale Armor matching set bonuses.

5) Like "No Helmets Required" you won't be able to mix armor types. Wearing a light armor helmet would negate all heavy armor perks above except for the matching set perks.

Installation Requirements

======================

Official Skyrim patch 1.8.151.0.7 or greater.

Dawnguard is required for the Dawnguard patch file

Installation

=========

Install Perks Unbound with your favorite mod manager (Wyre Bash, Nexus Mod Manager, etc).

For a manual installation: Extract the archive to your data folder in your Skyrim directory.

Load Order

============

If has not done so already please download and install BOSS, which is linked below, you will save yourself a lot of headaches in the long run by doing this.

BOSS for Skyrim: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/6

BOSS should be used to manage your load order. If you decide to sort normally, the mods should at least go after the unofficial patches, but before any perk overhauls so that their changes take precedence (Unless of course you want my mod to take precedance).

The load order should be:

1) Choose Only One: Perks Unbound.esp, or Perks Unbound - Helmless Warrior.esp if you have download it (Not both).

2) Load "Perks Unbound - Dawnguard.esp" if you have Dawnguard.

Uninstalling Perks Unbound

=========================

Uninstall with whatever mod manager you were using.

If for some reason you decided to install manually, go back to the directory you extracted the files to, delete " Perks Unbound.esp", " Perks Unbound - Dawnguard.esp", and the Perks Unbound - Readme.txt" from the docs folder.

Revision History

================

v1.2.3 - Integrated perk fixes made by USKP 1.2.3 and 1.2.4 into Perks Unbound and Perks Unbound - Helmless Warrior.

Perks Unbound: The "DBFullSet" and "TGFullSet" edits for the Helmless Warrior optional esp were added erroneously to Perks Unbound.esp (Not sure how I managed that one).

Perks Unbound - Dawnguard: No Changes Necessary.

-----------------------

v1.2.2 - All ESPs: Used TES5Edit to make sure that all necessary perk modifications and fixes were copied over from the Dawnguard ESM and the Unofficial Patches, and then did all the necessary edits in the CK.

Perks Unbound - Helmless Warrior: The Spells "DBFullSet" and "TGFullSet" have received the same treatment as the Matching Set perks (Applies only to Shrouded Armor and Nightingale Armor).

USKP no longer necessary due to the magic of TES5Edit.

-----------------------

v1.2.1 - Perks Unbound - Dawnguard.esp: Added the fix to the Limbsplitter30 perk done by the Unofficial Dawnguard Patch, so that way the fix is not overwritten.

-----------------------

v1.2.0 - Added the USKP as a master so that way the perk fixes are preserved. Without the perk Backstab, Assassin's Blade only does x7.5 damage on a sneak attack, so added this warning to Assassin's Blade.

-----------------------

v1.1.0 - Updated to support Dawnguard. Dragonbone weapons were not being upgraded to the correct quality, this issue would also extend to all Dawnguard added weapons and armor, so I did the smithing tree from scratch.

-----------------------

v1.0.0 - Initial Release.

At the author's request, I have taken down all hosted files. Now I offer a patchkit.

selyb:

1) May I keep these unedited packed dlc files hosted or do I need to take them down?

2) If I must take them down, may I offer them on request?

Iriodus:

1) I would prefer that you take it down, yes.

2) Not really no. I would prefer it if people wanted to use my mod then they would have to download it from my mod page. Keep in mind that I don't endorse Xbox Modding, but don't care if one decides to use my mod, if users have issues with my mod, I will not offer support for issues.

By typing I_AGREE for the password, you agree to the disclaimers above.

If you enjoy this mod please go to the original release page and endorse it or express your gratitude in a post.

All my patchkits require ApplyPatch

1) Download mod from original mod page.

2) Download patchkit.

3) Extract all to same folder.

4) Run bat file to apply patch.

v1.2.3 Choose only one patchkit and use it.

Download Non-DG patchkit here.

Download DG patchkit here.

Removed hosted files with respect to the authors wishes. AFAIK, there is nothing illegal about repacking the original files and rehosting them as long as the original author is credited. It is simply my decision to respect his decision.

Also, added a tutorial for others to convert this mod for himself/herself.
