Multi-Utility Mod By Selyb

I've started work on an Actor menu section. After you enter an actor's ID, you will be able to Add/Remove spells, shouts, perks, and factions, move to you or somewhere, revive, kill, open barter menu, and more. You will be able to marry anyone, change their factions, kill/resurrect any people or animals, have a person or animal equip/unequip spells and powers plus more.

Here is a v5 preview.

Install to 00000002 folder like usual. I have not tested every function. IsEssential was not working but I think I fixed it. I want to add a few more functions like SetEssential, SetProtected, SetInvulnerable, and SetRace. I'm also trying to figure out some way to save the last ID entered so you can choose to use the same one or enter a new one. I included a list of Faction IDs. For actor IDs use skyrimsearch.com and make sure you use the RefID, not the BaseID. If I can figure out an easy way to export the IDs, I'll include them from all official DLC for all the different things this mod supports.

It doesn't seem to work with lisette, a bard in Solitude. I tried both RefID(000198A2) and BaseID(00013297), but It keeps telling me "That is not a vaid ActorID.". VALID also misses a character. biggrin.png That also seems to be a problem with Sapphire (RefID 000C19A5)(BaseID 000C19A3) in the Ragged Flagon.

BaseID is never going to work because the functions require a reference. The typo has been fixed, thx. I will look into those actors and see what I can find out.

MAJOR UPDATE

New in v5.0

  • Revamped most of the menu system
  • Added new Actor menu with 4 pages of options!
  • Fixed a syntax error that may have been preventing SetWeather Permanent but it still isn't permanent :-/
  • Fixed a stupid logic error where Teach Word was no longer working
  • Added an uninstall option. The history system requires an invisible quest to run permanently so use this to stop it and uninstall/update the mod.
  • Added a history system so that Multi-Utility now remembers the last ID you entered for 8 different ID types
  • Added some more invalid ID messages so it is more verbose as to what was wrong with the entry
  • Added an excel sheet with Faction IDs
  • Changed some code for the FormID entry. If anyone had errors trying to enter large IDs, it may work better now (or worse?)
  • Added a notification that Multi-Utiltiy was installed and equip it from the powers menu but I haven't seen it work yet.

The Mediafire link goes to the OldVersions archive... sad.png

Great work BTW. I've been looking for a way to resurrect people since vampires killed Belethor, reanimated him, turned him to a pile of ash. Does his assistant open the shop to keep trading? No.

I broke something when trying to enter a formID from anything other than skyrim.esm. If you need to access items or quests from a mod or DLC then stick to v4.8. I will get this fixed asap. In v5.1 I have added an Info menu which will show you load order of many common mods. As soon as I get the formID menu fixed, I'll release v5.1.

Updated to v5.1

  • Fixed the formID entry bug introduced with v5.0
  • Revamped the quest menu. Now you enter a quest ID and you can see status and toggle it instead of having to check each thing.
  • Added an Info menu which shows load order of many common mods. The numbers are shown in decimal and you need to convert to hex but it's still better than counting and guessing.

It will only work on Xbox 360 and only with TU9. PS3 doesn't have the v1.8 update yet so that function won't work. If you don't know what update you have, hit start in-game and go to system menu. In the bottom left corner is the version number. If it doesn't say 1.8.something, then +pp won't work.

Skyrim doesn't come with any way to display hexadecimal numbers in messages. You enter the hex number, it shows the decimal version. v6 will display the ID you enter in hex. I should be releasing v6 today or tomorrow if I don't have any more serious bugs.

Updated to v6.0

  • Major menu code overhaul to accomodate the new hexadecimal feature in messages.
  • Data\interface\messagebox.swf is included in the bsa so other mods that inlcude this will not be compatible with Multi-Utility.
  • Added a few mods to the info menu.
  • Added a history feature to entered IDs. Now the last ID entered is remembered and you will be asked if you want to use it or enter a new one.
  • Changed form id entry so you can only enter 8 chars.
  • Added a confirmation after form id entry which can be cancelled.
  • Added many more checks for invalid ids and such.

What you need to do is use Velocity or wxpirs to extract the dragonborn esm, put TES5Dump in the same folder, open cmd.exe, run TES5Dump dragonborn.esm > dragonborn.txt, then search for DLC2MQ06.

Very helpful tool...love it.

I haven't tested all followers yet, but I get an invalid ID response with some actor ID's when trying to move to, or move to me....such as:

Argis the Bulwark

Calder

Jordis Swordmaiden

Belrand

Ahtar

Annekke Crag-Jumper

Aranea Lenith

Vorstag

Shadowmere

Also i'm not sure how to get the playerfollowercount variable to work, tried some different variables nothing seemed to work for me.
