Reach
Disk clean

32 posts in this topic

OK so i was trying to add the spire pelican mod. And i was using assembly. But once i had finished the mod and put the make back into the reach folders and started the spire map it says my disk needs cleaning. I have an RGH with freestyle 3.

And do i get the default xex in the halo reach file

You're wondering how to retrieve the default.xex? You just run the disc and extract it with xexmenu or fsd to a USB or FTTP. There's also an option if you have "Xbox 360 Neighborhood".

You're going to have to rip the contents of the disc and place them on a usb or a hdd that is big enough to store halo reach to play it.

So it will come up in the game library.

So it will come up in the game library.

You'll have to navigate to where you extracted the files and folder to every time to launch the modded xex.

Is there a way for it to come up in the game library because now my default.xex is default.xex.bak and i can't open it by clicking on it.

What have you done so far?

 - Extracted the Halo Reach files from the disc to a usb/hdd with xexmenu/FSD and make a folder specifically for Halo Reach.

 - Copy the xex to your desktop.

 - Extract the noflames program and follow the readme.

I have finished the readme and now i can't open it because when i click on default.xex.bak it doesn't open.

So you followed the steps and the program should have created a new xex in place of the old one. The xex.bak is just a backup of the old one.

ok I've done that now how do I propyl install the mods.

Replace the old xex that is in the Halo Reach folder and run the xex. You should be able to play the modified map.

This is what your folder should look like. Excluding the ai xex and the tu1 xex.

It does not matter which order you transfer them, just make sure to launch default_mod.xex instead of default.xex.

It's in the root of your hard drive, and did you really need to make 3 different topics about this?
