  1. I see. Well thanks for all the help guys.
  2. I don't mean to mod the .map file but use it to find the tag of something, for instance a grenade launcher, and then search for that tag in the usaermap in HxD then replace the grenade launcher's tag with another tag like the one for a Spartan model.
  3. Can they be done like they were in Halo 3? In Halo 3 you could open the .map file in Johnson and open your usermap in a hex editor like Hxd then find the tag you want in Johnson and then find it in HxD and replace it with another tag. Could you open up the .map file for Reach in Ascension and open your usermap from Reach in HxD and replace the tags you want? Any information on this would be great, and if it can't be done could you explain why?
  4. I'm new to moding, and all I really want to do is be able to mod reach so I can have a really great time with friends in Custom Games. I don't want to bring it into MM, just Custom Games. With that being said, is there any possible way to mod Halo: Reach without the use of a Jtag'd xbox 360 or a Dev Kit? I haven't really looked into Dev Kit's but they seem expensive and illegal. I also don't really want to get a Jtag-able xbox and then Jtag it. So, once again, is there any way to mod Reach without the use of a Jtag or Dev Kit? If there is a program that lets you mod a map that you already made in Forge on Reach, could you let me know what it is. For example, the program Forge in Halo 3 let you mod already made maps, not the .map file. On a side note, what exactly does a Jtag or Dev Kit do to the xbox that lets a person mod it, even though with a regular xbox you can't?
